Exploring Magnificent Blue and Green Cave

On this exciting boat tour excursion, you’ll spend the full day hopping on the islands around Hvar and discovering the natural wonders of Croatia’s Adriatic Coast. Admire the Green Cave and the Blue Cave, cool off with a swim in Stiniva Bay, and enjoy free time for swimming and lunch in a charming little town Milna. After lunch, you can enjoy cocktail in one of Palmižana’s charming spots.

BLUE CAVE

On the open sea in front of Komiža, at a distance of four nautical miles, lies the island of Biševo, which hides one of the nautical symbols of our blue sea and that is the spectacular blue cave.

The cave is protected as a geomorphological natural monument and because it gets very crowded it is not intended for swimming inside but simply for admiration. This natural phenomenon has two openings.

Through one, you are going to enter inside with a specialized boat and skipper. The entrance to the cave is very small, so you will have to watch your head (no joking!) and prepare to be blown away by the wonderful colors and essence of this cave.

It is the other opening on the south side of the cave which is characterized by a light phenomenon that leaves no visitor indifferent. The sun hits the ocean and the inside of the cave glows with a silvery-blue light from the water.

How does the magic happen? A small natural hole in the cave lets in a few rays of sunlight which cause the water to glow and shimmer, which makes it a world attraction. Photography is allowed in the cave.

We recommend that you turn your flash off to capture some postcard-perfect pictures!

GREEN CAVE

Visiting the beautiful green cave is a part of this tour. It is a sea cave on the small island of Ravnik, near the island of Vis.

What makes this cave special is the hole in the ceiling that allows light to enter and makes an interesting green spot on the water, for which the cave is named. This is quite a big cave so we suggest that you grab a snorkel and dive into this cave, where you’ll discover beautiful and colorful underwater life!

If you’re not the kind of person who’s going to dare to explore THE cave by swimming inside, DO NOT WORRY because you’ll be able to go around the cave with a guide that will take you inside on a smaller boat.

STINIVA

Stiniva Beach is known for its unique natural beauty and was declared a protected natural monument in 1967. Its uniqueness is manifested in the fact that it is surrounded by steep cliffs and hills.

The clear turquoise sea and the pebble beach along with the attractive appearance of the entire bay contributed to this little paradise on Vis being declared the most beautiful beach in Europe by the tourist organization European Best Destination.

NOTOS

Located by the beach in Mala Milna, Notos Beach House attracts many guests who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. An attractive carefully designed ambiance, seafood specialties, and the rich flavors of Mediterranean cuisine will make you feel like you are in a gastronomic paradise.

Try one of Notos’ cocktails in the lounge area and indulge in summer enjoyment. The combination of Mediterranean tradition in a modern way has flavors that satisfy even the most refined palate.

PALMIŽANA

The last stop of our trip is the most famous bay of Hvar, Palmižana. It is also a nautical marina. A stunning view opens up of the beautiful vegetation of this bay when you dock by boat.

Enjoy a walk in the botanical garden, refresh yourself on the sandy beach or relax in one of the beach bars. An abundance of Mediterranean herbs with a view of the clear crystal sea while drinking your favorite drink sounds like a great end to your day on your trip, right?
